There’s a quiet power in models who understand that fashion is as much about communication as it is about image, and Anastasia Ferrante embodies that balance with striking ease. Fluent in five languages and shaped by her academic experience at IULM University, Anastasia Ferrante brings a thoughtful, globally attuned perspective to every project she steps into. Her ability to navigate international sets with cultural fluency and creative awareness allows her to form genuine connections with photographers, stylists, and teams across continents.

That same refined sensibility is evident in her recent collaboration with legendary photographer Antoine Verglas, where natural beauty and effortless sensuality take center stage. Guided by her mother agency, Torchia Management, Anastasia Ferrante continues to build a career rooted in intention and longevity—one that honors her Italian heritage while embracing the global language of fashion. Inspired by iconic houses like Max Mara, Valentino, and Armani, she represents a new generation of models redefining beauty through authenticity, intelligence, and quiet strength.

Anastasia, you speak five languages, how has being multilingual shaped your modeling career and your ability to connect on international sets?

Being multilingual has played a significant role in my modeling career, as fashion is such an international industry. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with photographers and brands in places like Europe and Asia often working with teams coming from all over the world. Being able to communicate directly with photographers, stylists, and creatives helps create a stronger connection on set. It allows the creative process to flow more naturally and helps me better understand the context behind each project. In many ways, language has helped me integrate more seamlessly into international collaborations.

You studied at IULM University, how did your academic experience influence your perspective on fashion, media, and branding?

My studies at IULM University gave me a strong foundation in communication and media, which has influenced how I approach modeling as a profession. Fashion imagery is not only about aesthetics — it is also a powerful form of communication that shapes brand identity and public perception. Understanding this relationship between image, storytelling, and branding allows me to approach my work with a deeper awareness of how visual content connects with audiences.

As an Italian model navigating a global industry, how do you bring your heritage into your work?

Italy has an extraordinary fashion heritage rooted in craftsmanship, elegance, and attention to detail. Growing up surrounded by that culture naturally shaped my sense of aesthetics and appreciation for design. When I work internationally, I try to bring that sense of refined elegance and sophistication to the projects I’m part of. Representing the tradition of Italian fashion culture on a global stage is something I’m very proud of.

You’re signed with Torchia Management as your mother agency. What has that partnership meant for your growth and direction in the industry?

Having a strong mother agency is incredibly important in modeling. My partnership with Torchia Management has played an important role in guiding my career and helping me build a professional path with a long-term perspective. They have supported me in developing my portfolio, connecting with respected international agencies, and choosing projects that align with my image and professional growth. That type of guidance is essential for building a sustainable career in such a competitive industry.

What was your first breakthrough moment when you realized modeling could become a serious career?

I think the moment I realized modeling could be something serious was when I experienced my first professional set. Being part of a set with photographers, stylists, and creative directors made me understand that modeling plays an important role in visual storytelling. Seeing how much creativity and collaboration goes into creating an image made me understand the role of a model within that process.

We are honored to publish your images shot by the legendary Antoine Verglas. What was it like working with such an iconic photographer known for capturing natural beauty?

Working with Antoine Verglas was truly an honor. He is a photographer whose work has influenced fashion photography for decades, and being part of that creative process was a very meaningful experience for me. His approach is very intuitive and relaxed, which creates an environment where you can express yourself naturally in front of the camera. Collaborating with someone whose work has been featured in many international publications and who has photographed some of the most iconic figures in fashion and cinema made the experience even more special.

Verglas is known for his effortless, sensual aesthetic. How did you prepare mentally and physically for this shoot?

For a shoot like this, preparation is about feeling confident, healthy, and present. Antoine’s photography celebrates natural beauty and spontaneity, so the most important thing is to stay relaxed and trust the creative process. I approached the shoot with the mindset of being fully present and allowing the moment to unfold naturally.

Beauty is often defined narrowly in fashion. How do you personally define beauty?

To me, beauty goes far beyond physical appearance. It’s a combination of confidence, individuality, and presence. The people who stand out the most are those who embrace who they are and express that authentically. In fashion, authenticity often creates the most compelling and memorable images.

In today’s social media–driven world, how do you balance authenticity with the curated image expected from models?

Social media has become an important platform for models because it allows us to share both our professional work and personal perspective. I try to approach it thoughtfully by presenting my work in a professional way while also sharing moments that genuinely reflect my interests and lifestyle. Finding a balance between authenticity and professionalism is very important.

Your Instagram presence feels elegant yet approachable. How intentional are you about your digital identity?

I’m quite intentional because digital platforms have become an extension of a model’s professional portfolio. At the same time, I try not to overthink it too much. I focus on sharing visuals that reflect my aesthetic — fashion, travel, and creative collaborations — while still allowing my personality to come through.

Having studied communication and media, do you see your modeling career evolving into other areas of the fashion or beauty industry in the future?

Modeling is the foundation of my professional path and remains my primary focus. Through editorial shoots, campaigns, and collaborations with creative teams, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the artistic and strategic aspects of the fashion industry. Being on set allows me to observe and learn from photographers, stylists, creative directors, and brand teams, which has been incredibly valuable for my development as a model. At the same time, my background in communication and media allows me to understand the broader perspective of branding and storytelling within fashion. In the future, I would love to gradually expand my involvement in the industry — particularly in areas such as entrepreneurship, beauty and fashion — while continuing to build my modeling career and collaborate with creatives and brands internationally.

What has been the most challenging moment in your modeling journey — and how did you overcome it?

One of the biggest challenges in modeling is understanding that the industry can be very selective and subjective. Learning how to navigate rejection while maintaining confidence is an important part of the journey. Over time, I’ve learned to focus on growth, resilience, and continuous improvement, understanding that each experience helps you develop both personally and professionally.

Italy has such a rich fashion legacy. Which Italian designers or eras inspire you the most?

I’ve always been inspired by iconic Italian fashion houses such as Max Mara, Valentino, and Armani. Each of them represents a different expression of Italian elegance, from timeless sophistication to understated power and romantic glamour. Their influence has shaped my aesthetic and continues to inspire me.

When you walk onto a set, what energy do you try to bring to the team?

I always try to bring professionalism, positivity, and a collaborative spirit. A photoshoot is always a team effort, and the energy on set plays a big role in the final result. When everyone feels comfortable and inspired, it allows the creativity to flow naturally and leads to stronger images.

Looking back on your career so far, what do you feel you have built as a model, and what kind of legacy do you hope to continue building in the fashion industry?

Looking back on my career so far, I’m proud of the professional path I’ve built through international collaborations and creative projects that have allowed me to grow within the fashion industry. I’ve had the opportunity to work with experienced creatives, including my recent collaboration with Antoine Verglas, which has been a meaningful part of my development as a model. These experiences have helped me gain insight into different creative environments and refine my approach on set. Being represented by Torchia Management has also played an important role in shaping my career. With their guidance, I’ve been able to focus on building a portfolio that reflects both artistic direction and professional consistency. As I continue evolving in my career, I hope to build a legacy defined by authenticity, creativity, and professionalism. I would like my work to reflect a strong sense of identity while contributing to projects that celebrate artistry and storytelling in fashion. In the long term, I also hope to expand my role within the industry through creative and entrepreneurial initiatives — particularly in the beauty and fashion industries — where I can combine my experience in modeling with my background in communication and media.
