Lady Gaga postpones album release

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic Lady Gaga has decided to postpone the release of her highly anticipated album, “Chromatic”.

The “Stupid Love” singer took to Instagram to make the announcement. She said, “This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic… Instead I prefer that we spend this time focusing on finding solutions.”

While Gaga doesn’t feel this is a great time to release music, another pop queen Dua Lipa pushed forward her album release for fans to listen to in quarantine. Although fans wish they could get their hands on the album as soon as possible, if it doesn’t feel right to her then she should not feel pressured to release the album during this time.

Gaga also revealed in her announcement that she had many surprises planned for fans this year before the pandemic. Most noticeably she had a secret set lined up at Coachella. Coachella was rescheduled to October, so it’s unknown if Gaga will join the lineup for the later scheduled date.

Gaga is planning to still release the album in 2020 and plans to announce a date soon.
